Most over-the-counter probiotics contain:

1. Fermented Foods > Pills

  • Kimchi, kefir, sauerkraut, miso, yogurt (real stuff, not sugar bombs)

2. Prebiotics

  • Think fiber-rich foods: onions, garlic, bananas, oats, flaxseed, chicory root

3. Synbiotics

  • Combine probiotics + prebiotics (ideally from food)

  • Think: kefir with a fiber-rich breakfast. Or sauerkraut with sweet potato.

4. Environment > Supplement

  • Stress, sleep, light, and diet shape your gut more than pills do.
